A chatterbox by trade and keen doodler, Beckie has always had a love of words, and where creativity in a story can take you as a reader.
Her stories are written around those that she loves and shares her life with, in the Peak District.
She takes inspiration from her Yorkshire born and bred husband, her blended family, and now her scrumptious grandchildren.
Mix this with the love of her small holding, animals galore, her 4 intrepid hens, and Beckie loves nothing more than sharing their adventures with others.
The Perched in the Peaks stories were born.

Aoife Hearty studied at Leeds College of Art and now lives in the Peak District where she set up an art and music studio with her husband.
Drawing inspiration from the countryside, she specialises in animal portraiture and wildlife paintings. Her work is available locally and online.
